Sophie Ottone, aka soap, was born in Rome in 2005 but grew up in Latina. Her relationship with music began at a young age and over time she wrote her first lyrics, with the desire to convey all the melancholy inside her, but also a sense of rebirth. Sophie became “soap” on 15 September 2022, the day her first single as an independent was released, a manifesto of an aesthetic and a sound in perfect harmony with Generation Z. After a few months, she started working with Pulp Entertainment, releasing “forse domani” and “macchina argento” in the first half of 2023, which received attention and acclaim. In the second half of 2023, soap released two more singles: “via del corso” and “cuori in pista”. On 12 January 2024, her latest single “cercavi di più”, written together with Sayf and produced by BIAS (Pulp Entertainment / Sugar Music), was released. 

Her music has been noticed and enhanced by MTV Push Italia and Spotify (Caleido, EQUAL, GLOW Italia and many others), and also featured in the season 2 of the popular Amazon Prime TV series “Prisma”. 

In 2025 she released her first EP, titled “Pas Facile,” entirely composed and produced by Bias and Narduccey.
